here i am. shortly after having moved into our brooklyn apartment, november, 2008.

it's really difficult to believe that we've been here for almost a year. in two months, we'll hit that mark and have to do all kinds of thinking about what we've accomplished and was it enough and what will happen next and what are we supposed to be doing...

before all that happens, i will take a moment and think: "wow. we moved to a brand new city and we haven't exploded."

we've made enough money to buy food and pay rent. we've settled in a neighborhood which we love. we have been carving out little spots for ourselves in this great big city.

not too shabby.
